Since 2002 Lake has either produced, facilitated or contributed to the creation of workshops, community discussions, videos, and television programs that bring people together beyond their perceived differences.
Interfaith Pastoral Care
Lake has experience providing nondenominational pastoral care to communities in Western MA, Chicago, IL, Baltimore, MD. She has extensive experience caring for those who are underserved in prisons, living with psychiatric challenges, and/or in search of spiritual care that leaves room for individual progress.
Trauma Abuse & Spiritual Care
While working in Chicago, Lake combined her creative talents to bring nondenominational spiritual care primarily to people living with HIV or AIDS. Her approach to pastoral care then began to reach beyond the church and became relevant in places such as The CORE Center and RUSH University Medical Center where she served as a nondenominational chaplain.
Political Activism
Politically active, Lake continued to grow and speak out against homophobia, sexual abuse, and the misuse of religion as justification. Through Chicago's public access television, she learned how to produce, direct, and organize programing for peaceful visibility while speaking out against oppression.
