Beginning in 2002, after earning her M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary, Deborah Elandus Lake began to fill her call as a nondenominational minister and interfaith chaplain. She began developing her talent for bringing people together beyond religious, ethnic, and political affiliations. In 2009, after of honing her approach to empowerment and change Lake:
Today, Elandus is continuing to provide safe space for all who are looking for a place to use their talents, get in touch with new talents, learn new skills, connect with like minded leaders, and help mentor new generations of change makers, through Lake Enterprise Productions.
Programs and future workshops will be grounded in the wisdom and knowledge of Elandus and a close group of advisers.
Armed with lessons learned while raising daughters as a single parent in a hostile world, wisdom acquired while providing non-denominational spiritual care to people on the verge of giving up, and witnessing the dignity of humanity while passing from one realm to the next, Elandus understands that lasting change starts from within and exists beyond our illusion of difference.
"Once we learn how to use our power of creation to build connections that are not only affinity based but also humanity centered, we become free. Free to be who we're meant to be. We become free. Free to help others be who they are meant to be,” Deborah Elandus Lake, M.Div
